"Sessions": our new Comic Webseries, Written, Directed and Starred by Me and My Partner George Felner

I am always happy to audition and to read new scripts. I've been auditioning for commercials and I've been doing some modeling photoshoots. But every time I go to the cinema, every time I watch my favorite T.V shows, I feel anxious... I wish I'd have a chance to just be considered for a more dynamic part, more psychological where I could stretch myself as an actor everyday. Imagine waking up everyday and going to the studio, being part of a Tv series, working and facing a camera everyday... as they say "Practice makes perfect". The problem is... When we stop practicing,  when there's no scripts or auditions or agents... Nothing... Suddenly we end up spending a day in front of a computer without talking to a single soul, we start forgetting that we have a voice and we get all wrapped up when an opportunity pops up and the phone rings and it just feels weird to talk on the phone. The thing is... We just type and text too much in nowadays, we look down at hour phones a lot... Looking up and talk doesn't feel normal anymore. Everyone knows that actors spend more time looking for work than they do working. As an actor your real job is actually job hunting. When we finally get a job we wonder if we actually can do it, because it's been a while since we used our instrument: our voice and body.

I think fear and lack of opportunities led me and my partner George Felner to create a webseries. Drama is my comfort zone and George's strength is comedy. We needed to find a common ground.
I started researching Steven Levitan's work, Jay Kogen, Seinfeld, Woody Allen, Larry Davis,  Amy Poehler... Suddenly I realized that I am billions of light years away from being anything in this industry....

But it's important to take a first step! May and June were two intensive months of creating, researching, writing, shooting and acting for "Sessions"The first season has nine episodes. The first one was published today and we promise you to keep publishing one episode every Tuesday, for nine weeks.

"Sessions" follows the ups and downs, the confessions and misadventures of a couple - Frank and Joanne - trying to make sense of their relationship in a comic and unique way.

This is the website:  www.sessions-webseries.com

Please, feel free to follow and share our project and leave your ideas and comments as well.

"Sessions" has been an intensive acting and writing exercise for me. We are already planning the second season. This project is the reason I've been away from social media. Writing and being on social media at same time is complicated for me. Writing is an introspective activity and being on social media is the opposite. I need to learn to find a balance between them! I wish I could divide myself:)
