Frank and Joanne realize that they are addicted to their smartphones which is affecting the way they communicate with each other. They use their phones compulsively and have anxiety when their battery dies!
Can anyone relate to this topic?
I suppose so. People use their phones everywhere, in the toilet, during sex, as soon as they wake up,as soon as they turn off the alarm clock, they're already checking their notifications.
I suppose I can't relax completely if I'm in the kitchen and my phone is in the bedroom. The simply fact that me and my phone are in different rooms gets me a little nervous! Well, even if I try to relax someone will tell me off as soon as I put my hands on it again. I'll have a missed called, new notifications, a message saying "I tried to call you, is everything OK?"
Actually, today I left my phone in the kitchen for 10 minutes. Suddenly George's shows up in the office saying:
"Is everything Ok?" and I said "Yes, why?" and he replies "I was in the toilet, I tried to call you, I forgot my shampoo outside!"
Suddenly I felt guilty thinking "George is going to spend his whole day scratching his head because of me (the shampoo is a special one for dandruff problems!!). He's going to spend his whole day scratching his head because I forgot my phone in the kitchen!"
We're digiholics! We're addicted to technology! George is more than me! I am not a compulsive social media user. I am not always on Twitter or on Facebook but I spend a lot of time checking series, youtubes, amazon books, blogs, stupid gossip, whatsupping! I spend a lot of time researching for new episodes too.
So... Here you have our new episode: Digiholics!
