Skin Problems and Tea Tree Oil
Thursday, 26 December 2013
I never gave too much attention to my skin. At a younger age, until I was 20, I should have considered myself lucky to have normal skin. I don't remember buying any face cleanser or tonic or anything, water was simply enough, but...not for a long time. My skin changed having some traces of oil on my forehead and nose. I started having tiny fat spots, nothing very noticeable, but as I was modelling already at the time and doing many catwalk shows, those "milk" spots were beginning to stress some make-up artists. That's when a friend of mine recommended me OLAY and I did a little investment and bought the treatments adjusted to my skin and age. Everything went fine for the next two years. When I was 22, I just lost the control of my skin and started having acne. I just wanted to wash my skin all the time to have at least a 5 minutes of relief from all that oil and sometimes from the itching. No one would believe me my skin was clean before... no one could imagine that... that I once had an healthy skin. Acne wasn't just a skin problem; it started to be a psychological and social problem interfering in my relationships; I started avoiding pictures and using a fringe. I stopped modelling for a while as well. I remember a show I did and the make-up artist was just so angry at me because all the layers of make up were just never enough to cover the lumps. Well, this problem lasted for about a year and nothing seemed to work. My stress and negative attitude was not helping as well. Many times, I suffered in silence afraid to over dramatise my physical appearance. Sometimes I was just tired of that oily feeling and the itching too. It's not the end of the world, but I was tired. I decided to change my pill and 6 months later the problem was solved. Off course, after that experience I started paying more attention to my skin. Recently a friend of mine, who had severe acne problems as well, recommended me tea tree oil. I just love it because it really cleans my face and removes all the dirt and bacteria. After spending little fortunes on skin products I decided to spend 3 pounds on a tea tree soap to wash my face. It was enough. This Christmas I received the Body Shop Tea Tree face treatment and I am looking forward to see the results.
