2014...

Maybe it's a bit too late to talk about New Year resolutions, or maybe not, because, to be honest, professionally my year and my agenda start in September, so I just have to stick to what I had already planned, maybe give a second thought to some ideas, take a big breath when looking back at 2013 and move on.

It's hard to make plans when you're an actress, really! It's difficult to control your finances,to book your holidays and to have some structure in your life. 2013 was a good year. 2013 was a lovely year. I've finished my one year acting course with a very exiting play with amazing friends who helped me a lot on improving my English and discovering myself as an artist. I immersed myself in the English literature, reading plays and speeches, reading film scripts here and there which was a starting point to my own writing adventure. I built up my 'spotlight' and 'casting call pro' pages and for that I needed to do get my headshots done, my showreel done and my website done. I met wonderful and creative photographers, designers, hairdressers and make-up artists through my experience as a model. Thanks to these collaborations I improved my confidence and relationship with the cameras, with my body, as a model and as an actress. Considering that these jobs always involve different people and different environments, I had to introduce myself many times which helped me in facing and fighting my shyness. I did a commercial and got three auditions right at the end of year.

What I really feel proud off, has nothing to do with acting or my career. It has to do with myself and the way I changed some habits and attitudes. I started going to the gym in October on a regular basis, I changed my sleeping, eating and cooking habits. Now I go to bed earlier, I reduce the amount of stuff I plan to do everyday and, most importantly, I've forgiven many people and many past experiences taking responsibility for many things as well.

So, my resolutions are very simple....keep all those habits, have more faith and be more trusting of my intuition, which is quite good, but I have to say, I simply don't trust it many times. I don't have any agent and I will possibly approach some agencies. This week I've applied for maybe 20 auditions through CCP and Spotlight, so let's see if I have any feedback, there's always something happening in London and I believe something will definitely come up.
