We can learn precious lessons from the world's greatest athletes. For instance, watching Federer playing tennis or simply watching the Euro 2016 and loosing my voice while screaming for Portugal has been key for me in reframing and boosting my confidence when facing my own personal challenges.
In the last three weeks I went through an overdose of emotions, I never watched so much football in my life; Sport Tv was my main channel not only to watch the decisive games but to follow the debates, the critics, the interviews. I am proud of our boys, of our coach, of their persistence, perseverance, friendship, union, faith, for being unbeatable, for sweating for us, for turning all the criticism that was written against them in their source of strength and inspiration, for playing football with passion and dignity and not with violence. For their teamwork.
Teamwork!
This is a great lesson of teamwork for all of us. They were not the most talented and promising team, but they were invincible. You can't blame them for not chasing the game until the end, minute 90 or minute 120, you can't blame for relying on their captain to win and to score, you can't blame them for being favored by the referee and by corruption schemes. In every match they were proving exactly the opposite and we should all take it as a lesson.
Obrigado, Rapazes! Not only for winning, but for the faith and the soul you put into it, for making us believe!
Obrigado Portugal!
